Traveller stories
Karthikeyan and Vasuki R. · Coimbatore
In their words
“They left the afternoons empty on purpose, and that was the best decision anyone has made for us.”
“Our cook wrote our names in rice flour. Nobody had planned that, and it is what we remember.”
“They asked what time my mother woke up before they planned anything. That is the whole difference.”
“My first solo trip, and I never once felt unsafe or hurried. I have booked another.”
“A coordinator called once a day, only to ask if we were comfortable. Comforting, and never intrusive.”
“A late ferry, and they had already rebooked us before we noticed. That is what calm planning looks like.”
“The private dinner in the garden was simple and perfect. No fuss, just the right amount of thought.”
“Our guide knew the stories behind every corridor. I learned more in two days than in twenty years of visits.”
Before you book
Send us an enquiry with your dates and group size, and a planner calls you within a working day to shape the trip. Once you are happy, a deposit of around 25 per cent holds your dates, and the balance is due a few weeks before departure. Exact amounts are always written on your quote before you pay anything.
Each quote states its own terms, because a train ticket, a hotel and a houseboat are cancelled under different rules. As a general guide, cancelling well ahead returns most of your deposit, and closer to departure a portion is kept to cover what has already been booked. We always explain it plainly before you confirm.
Every package page lists inclusions and exclusions. Usually stays, a private vehicle, sightseeing entries mentioned in the itinerary and a trip coordinator are included, while long-distance fares, personal spending and optional activities are not. If something is unclear, ask before you book.
Yes. Most packages work from two travellers upwards, and the group size shown on each page is a guide rather than a limit. For bigger family groups we arrange extra vehicles and family rooms so nobody is split across floors.
It depends on where you are going. Hill stations are best from March to June and again after the monsoon. The coast and the backwaters are at their most comfortable from November to February. Every destination page carries its own best-time note, and we will tell you honestly if your dates are a poor fit.
Absolutely. Most travellers start from a package and change it: an extra night, a slower pace, a swapped stop. Tell us what you want and we will adjust the day-by-day plan and the price to match.
Plan my trip
Leave a number and a rough idea. A planner calls within one working day, asks how you like to travel, and builds the trip around the answer.
